Responsible for managing a growing department providing vision, leadership and mentoring for personnel in the groups. The person in this role is tasked with the responsibility of successfully coordinating and executing projects. S/he will interact with clients, devise design and analysis strategies, apply statistical methodologies, facilitate effective inter-and intra-departmental relationships, oversee training, serve as a statistical resource, and set and achieve departmental corporate goals and objectives. Additionally, this person will manage and coordinate all aspects of department activities including, but not limited to, providing departmental leadership and direction, development of sponsor contracts and budgets, assignment of personnel, implementation and revision of standard processes and procedures, and ensuring efficient and high quality execution of work. The Manager / Director interacts with FDA, clients, and staff to develop strategies, recruit personnel, document performance, determine salary adjustments and incentives, and train. This person will provide strategic direction in assessment of relevant new technologies and procedures and recommendation to senior executives for improvement and development of departments, as well as, participate in corporate strategic planning, and departmental management and the budget process as requested; participate in internal, client/sponsor, scientific and other presentations as requested; and perform other duties as assigned.
