Basic Purpose of the Position:
？ Independently designs and executes experiments and laboratory tasks in support of scale up and intermediate/API deliveries
？ Takes responsibility for lab administration including coaching, mentoring, training, supervising and assisting in the management of project activities


職位描述/ Description:
？ Independently designs and performs experiments to define process parameters, intended to support economical, efficient and environmentally friendly route suitable for manufacturing of API and intermediates
？ Effectively communicates the project progress in verbal and in written forms to various disciplines
？ Defines and executes critical tasks, within time line, in order to meet project milestones
？ Understands the fundamentals of process development including process safety, scale up, equipment and operational issues; Applies organic chemistry, chemical engineering, green chemistry and safety principles to design lab experiments, optimize reactions, streamline workup procedures, and reduce cycle times
？ Writes operating procedures, protocols, tech packages and batch records for scale up, production and transfer if needed
？ Identifies and introduces new process technologies, techniques/equipment and modifies equipment as needed, to improve efficiency and productivity
？ Helps to recruit, coach, mentor, train, supervise and develop junior staff with the emphasis on process knowledge, cGMP requirements, company policies, SOPs and safety regulations
？ Represents in departmental project team and assumes specific responsibility for departmental operation commensurate with technical ability and experience


職位要求/ Requirements:
？ Ph.D. Degree with 1+ year experience, or Master’s Degree with 5+ years of experience or equivalent experience in synthetic organic chemistry
？ Demonstrated broad knowledge of synthetic organic chemistry or fundamental understanding of multiple disciplinary technologies, equipment and scale up/engineering knowledge required for process scale up and chemical manufacturing
？ Ability to communicate effectively both in verbal and written forms in inter-disciplinary environments
？ Ability to independently design and optimize a target multiple-step synthetic route suitable for manufacturing, and ability to evaluate and interpret data without supervision
？ Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills
？ Advanced training in the areas of technical expertise and scale up operation
？ Must be able to work in a team environment, provide training and guidance to laboratory personnel and act as a leader in absence of supervisor
？ Ability to prepare technical reports, patents, publications and oral presentations
？ Understanding of cGMP and safety regulations
